If you’ve ever walked through a cemetery and were curious about the different headstones and why they look the way they do? Or what the various carved symbols and initials decorating the headstones mean? Or even why new cemeteries look different from older, historic cemeteries? If you have, then please join us on October 30th as local preservationist and historian, Jeffrey Green, explores the symbols, iconography and architecture of garden cemeteries and the evolution of rural cemetery movement.
