Small Arms Ammunition during the Civil War

Over 4 million small arms were issued to Federal troops alone, during the Civil War.  Historian, Mr. Joe Dowd will explain the various types of bullets and cartridges, as well as their development and manufacturing during the Civil War.  Please join us on Thursday, October 1, 2024 for a journey into this unique part of Civil War history.

Joe Dowd is currently an Interpretive Ranger for the River Raisin National Battlefield Park.  He resides in Monroe, Michigan.
