Author and historian, Dr. Scott Ellsworth, joins our round table to discuss his book, Midnight on the Potomac.  His book covers the last year of the Civil War.  He will discuss the close of the war, Lincoln’s assassination and how the United States forged forward after division. Dr. Scott Ellsworth currently is a professor of Afro-American and African studies at the University of Michigan.  Prior to moving to Michigan, he spent a decade working as the historian for the Smithsonian. He is the author of five books. His most recent is Midnight on the Potomac.
