Play Group for Caregiver and children Birth - Preschool Age.

We will be offering a time for young children and their caregiver to interact through playing , creating art, singing and reading.

Baby Sign is an 8-week introduction to the world of using sign language with babies!  Caregivers and their babies are invited to come to the library for a 20-30 minute fun learning session where each week Ms.

Library Storytimes are fun, literacy rich, interactive programs which strengthen reading skills and foster a lifelong love of reading

Storytime at the Maybee Branch Library is a fun and active event for preschoolers and toddlers (and their grown-ups too). Join us each week for reading, music, playing and hands-on activities.

We will be reading Firekeeper’s Daughter by Angeline Boulley.

This Play Group is for Children from Birth to School Age with parents or caregivers accompanying. We will be spending time for everyone to interact through playing, sharing, climbing, caring and story reading!

Get your body movin', shake out your sillies and get loose at this dance program. We will be moving and grooving to fun songs. Bring your party fingers and get this dance party started!

Do you love to color? Join us for some coloring fun! Bring your pencils, paint, markers or diamond painting and a fun attitude.

This book club is for children who will enter Kindergarten in the Fall 2024.

MCLS partners with Sudexo to provide snacks for teens and children.

Students from Summerfield High School's National Honor Society will be available at the library to help students of all ages with homework.  No sign-up is needed, just come to the branch for some help!  Homework helpers is every Tuesday

Bring your projects such as knitting, cross-stitch or crochet work and be a part of our group! Join us on the first and third Thursday of every month to share your projects and a "common thread" with others!

Each week looks a little different- there will be activities such as crafting, painting, and gaming to name a few! This is a place to study, have a snack, visit with friends, and unwind after the school day.

Do you love Legos? Join our Lego Club every Thursday after school from 4:00-5:00 PM.

Each week we will challenge you with a new theme and then display your creation for one week in the library.  

Free healthy meals for kids and teens through an equal opportunity provider.

Join us on the First Thursday of the month to paint a project or a picture. This is a self-guided program. Please have an idea of a project you would like to paint.

Get your artist hat on and join us for neon painting using neon paint!

Waiting to celebrate Groundhog Day?  Come join us for Groundhog Day Eve.  We will read a story and do a craft.  Special quest Chuck, will make an appearance and back to bed he will go for his big day.

All readers are welcome to join us as we read and discuss Historical Fiction books. Copies of the books can be picked up at the library. Discussions will be on the first Thursday of the month at 6:30 pm. 

Join us for an opportunity to practice reading out loud to a certified therapy dog! This program is geared toward school aged children. 15-minute reading sessions are available on a first come, first served basis.
