Summer Moves and Grooves is an interactive gathering with a focus on extra movement opportunities.  We'll always enjoy music and rhythm activities plus something fun such as rhythm sticks, animal movement or bonus dancing!

Join us for some light strength building exercises, easy movement and stretching.

Unwind, create, and find inner peace with Mindful Art, a calming and creative program designed to nurture your mind and spirit.

Parent Seminar: Library Resources is an overview of all that the library has to offer you and your children.  We'll cover how to best use the event calendar and library catalog, as well as many online resources you can access.

Puzzles and pictures is an open time of creativity at the library!  We'll have a variety of jigsaw puzzles for all levels and we'll have other puzzling challenges, such as tangrams.

Baby Group is for children under 2 and an accompanying caregiver.  We'll have a short Storytime section with some music and books, we'll do some interactive or sensory activities, then have some open playtime for social interaction.

This week in Petersburg we are learning about the attribute of respect and making word art.  Please note that we are doing many artistic projects this summer and you should come dressed for mess!  

If you are in the area today, be sure to check out the farmers market, stop in to the library, and have the kids create something for our art show.  Projects must be completed in the library on market day to be displayed for the summer.

Each month, we will provide supplies and instructions for you to make a craft here in the library.  Registration is required.

Calling all Smart Cookies!  We're having a back to school bash at the library!  Come at 1 for cookie bingo with back to school prizes, or pop in anytime from 1:30-2:30 for cookie tasting, decorating and more.  

We're kicking off our Fall session of baby group with a very special Baby Rave!  Come to the library for 30 minutes of dancing to toddler techno in a sea of bubbles.  Baby Group will resume the next week at the normal 9:15-9:45 time!

Who is curious and loves the library? Curious George!  Our favorite little monkey invites you to the library for a fun Fall kick-off.  Just like George, you'll get to be curious and have a lot of fun!
