Meet us in the lobby at 3:00pm

We will have carts of books and movies to check out. Deliveries take place once a month.

Wednesdays are all about sharpening minds and having fun! From 3:30 - 4:00, we’ll help elementary students with homework, dinner is served at 4:00 followed by a session of card and board games that challenge and entertain!

Join one of our Lego Block Parties on Wednesdays after school.  Build, play, and complete challenges, or simply enjoy open play and design. We will display finished projects for one week.  

We'll provide the Lego's and other building blocks. You provide the imagination. There will also be some STEM activities during this time. This is an open program so come anytime from 10 - 1 pm and have fun building and getting creative.

Looking for something new to do?

Join us on the 4th Wednesday of the month from 4pm – 6pm at the Vivian Branch Library.

We will explore your hidden talents with paint!

All supplies will be provided.

Join a book club for rebellious readers! We will discuss a different banned or challenged book each month. Readers ages 16 and up are welcome!

Meetings are held on the 4th Wednesday of each month, 5:30-6:30pm

Classic Book Club 2026 

Meetings are every other month on the last Wednesday except for November, which will be on the third Wednesday. 

The Ellis Fanta-Sci book club is the only Fantasy and Science Fiction book club in the Monroe County Library System! 

Get ready to step back in time and get your heart pumping with our Richard Simmons VHS Aerobics class! Join us every Thursday at 9 AM for a nostalgic journey that will have you sweating to the oldies in no time.

Baby Group is for children under age 2 and a caregiver.  We do some music and movement, read a few stories, do a sensory activity, and end with open play time.  This is a great introduction to the library for our little ones!

Join us for a morning of playing and socializing. We will be offering a time for young children and their caregiver to interact through play, songs, books and art. Each session will end with a gathering time.

Get your body movin', shake out your sillies and get loose at this dance program. We will be moving and grooving to fun songs. Bring your party fingers and get this dance party started!

This Play Group is for Children from Birth to School Age with parents or caregivers accompanying. We will be spending time for everyone to interact through playing, sharing, climbing, caring and story reading!

BRINGING THE OUTSIDE IN
Literacy on the Lawn – Winter Edition

This book club is designed for preschoolers going to the kindergarten in the fall of 2026.

Do you know what diamond art is? Would you like to try it? Before you spend money on a kit, join Becky at the Vivian Library as she explains what diamond art is and how to create it. All attendees will finish a drink coaster.

Come join this fun group of mystery readers. This month we are discussing We are All Guilty Here by Karin Slaughter.

National Honor Society students from Summerfield High School will be at the library to help you with your homework.  Please note that Homework Helpers will not be held on half days, when school is cancelled or if the library is closed.
