This Play Group is for Children from Birth to School Age with parents or caregivers accompanying. We will be spending time for everyone to interact through playing, sharing, climbing, caring and story reading!

Literacy on the Lawn – Winter Edition

Library staff will deliver books, movies, music CDs, audiobooks, and magazines.  ​Deliveries take place once a month. 

This book club is designed for preschoolers going to the kindergarten in the fall of 2026.

Bring your projects such as knitting, cross-stitch, or crochet work and be a part of our group! Join us on the first and third Thursday of every month to share your projects and a "common thread" with others!

Ever need help with computers? We know that computers are always changing and more things are becoming digital these days. Come to the Computer 101 series!

Join us on the first and third Thursday of every month for Teen and Tween Chess Club! Game sets, boards, and chess clocks will be provided.

Intended for ages 10-16. No registration required.

National Honor Society students from Summerfield High School will be at the library to help you with your homework.  Please note that Homework Helpers will not be held on half days, when school is cancelled or if the library is closed.

Children from kindergarten through 6th grade are invited to join us for a monthly seasonal craft.  

Join us at the Friends of the Carleton Branch Library's meeting.  We will be discussing ways we can continue to help the Carleton Branch with upcoming programs.  New members always welcome.

Baby Group is for children under 2 and an accompanying caregiver.  We'll have a short Storytime section with some music and books, we'll do some interactive or sensory activities, then have some open playtime for social interaction.

Sing, dance, read, and play! Toddler Storytimes are lively programs designed for ages 18 months and over.

Fun Friday is a special Storytime where we do a lot of dancing and music activities.  We also read interactive books and have time for social play.  Great for toddlers and preschoolers who love to move and groove!
